Hi-still can't believe it's over. This was by far the best trip I was ever on. From the From the start it was an experience. Tom , Paddy and John put their heart and soul into seeing that everyone of us felt the soul that is Ireland. From the countryside to the people and the spirit of the music. We travelled or should I say meandered on the bus to some wonderful sites absorbed the history and left with the feeling that I needed to find out more. If anyone wants to experience Ireland and not just check off places these are your guides. Thanks Tom.

I had the delight of being on the Counties Cork, Kerry and Clare trip at the beginning of October 2008. A small group true but they couldn't have come much warmer and friendly. We bonded instantly (thanks Martha. So sorry it had to be that way but I for one was humbled to be part of it)and from that moment on it just got better. Karen, I miss your lousy jokes, Ardith/Anne W. the walks, John your company and generosity, Martha the big hugs, Adrienne your presence, Karen your lovely accent and of course Anne F., Anne W., Jan and Bert for the outstanding music. Tom, I thank you for everything that you did, it was a real pleasure to meet you (you too have a truly wonderful voice) and of course not forgetting Paddy, our safe and steady driver with the dry sense of humour.
Impressions of Ireland itself. The scenery goes almost without saying, truly gorgeous especially in Counties Kerry and Clare. Dingle is a fabulous place but I would be hard pressed to decide my favourite between it and Doolin. The standard and quality of the pub/bar musicians was amazing. I still hear the banjo player from our first night out, the fella singing 'Dublin in the rare of times', Pauline Scanlon, Gerry O'Brierne, Geraldine MacGowan and all the others. I thought I didn't like folk music before this trip but I've had to change my mind now. All in all this was a magical holiday and one I strongly recommend (but watch out for the vegetarian lasagne).

I did the Johnsmith version of the tour with my wife and 10 new friends in 2006. I created a Web site to remember it and trade comments etc., http://www.fairplaytometour.com.
Tom and John did a great job, and we had an awesome time. We were fortunate that the group really gelled together and stayed up past late each night in various hotels rooms after the pubs had closed. My comment would be don't give Tom maps in Italian... he can't read them especially up in County Donegal where those roads are so skinny.
Next time we'll meet the king of Tory Island for a real visit.
Great trip!! So Far, So Good!
Slainte!

My trip to Ireland in July was so memorable and lovely! The people we toured with became friends right away. Tom, and Paddy, our driver, made everyone feel very welcome and special from Day One. I also liked the laid-back style in which the tour was conducted. We rarely felt rushed and were able to enjoy the "true" Ireland. The music was fantastic and the scenery was gorgeous. I would definitely recommend this tour to any of my friends or anyone who has an interest in seeing the beauty of Ireland! Thank you, Tom, for making my trip so memorable. Loads of laughter and merriment!
